Prompt 10: 🔍 A Trip Down Memory Lane

Wow, I’ve really fallen behind on my prompt writing routine. No excuses, but today I decided to take a break from social media for the next seven days to concentrate on writing, reading, and getting my routine in order—time management is definitely not my strong suit. But I am not giving up!
“It’s not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives. It’s what we do consistently.” —Tony Robbins
Back in my university days, I was part of a fantastic friend group. It was a large bunch, mainly students from West Bengal, and me, hailing from Odisha. We were about 6-8 people in total. Our nightly post-dinner walks were an unbreakable tradition, where we’d chat about our day, the latest buzz on campus, and exchange views on just about everything. And beyond that circle, I forged friendships that have lasted to this day (shoutout to my roommate!).
Being part of that group was incredibly educational for me. I gained a lifelong best friend, acquired knowledge on a variety of topics I might never have encountered otherwise, and received immense support during my lowest moments. I’ve picked up several character traits that I was lacking by carefully observing others and incorporating them into my own behaviour (being funny for starters!). Honestly, I wouldn’t change a thing. And it wasn’t all perfect; I also took the opportunity to remove several people from my life permanently.
